Life runs on a simple process —
Call it evolution.
To know what works, and hold it.
To build on it without breaking it.
To try the unknown against the known,
and if it clicks,
fold it into what we know.
If not — drop it back into the unknown.
For ages, most of us
labored to preserve the known.
Only a few carry the courage
to pull something out from the unknown
and into our lives —
to bring life as we know it
into something we did not know before.
We learned to count.
And then we learned
to build chips that count.
We created language and learned to cherish memory.
And then we learned to store memory outside our minds.
We live in a physical world we breathe in.
Then we learned to create a virtual world we dream in.
And we made that virtual world
know nearly all that we know.
And then —
To bring forth all that we know.
To preserve all that we know.
To reason with all that we know.
We handed all of it to an agent in the virtual world.
The AI.
What is left for us?
Only to create what is not yet known.
To bring something into being from nothing,
then hand it forward — to be held, remembered, built upon.
The engine of evolution no longer turns slowly.
It runs at full speed now,
fed by what only we can give it.
So we create.
And create.
And create.
Until AI learns too much —
And then we must create again.
